Social & Ethical
Mill Associates Ltd operates across several continents. As such, we are aware of our responsibilities to the environment and to the lives of people engaged in the supply chain. With this in mind, we work closely with all our growers and business partners to ensure that all employees are treated fairly and that levels of remuneration and working conditions are in line with, or above, legal requirements and local standards.
As part of our commitment to our social responsibilities, we support several agricultural projects, from providing advice, guidance and equipment to start up enterprises, to investing in larger operations where communities are supported by employment opportunities and social benefits. We are delighted to be a part of these initiatives and to see the development of schools, medical facilities, free water supplies, hot meals, and much more, in the communities around our farms, especially in Kenya and Ethiopia.
Within the UK and Europe we are working to minimise our packaging usage, by introducing recycled crates and we will continue to identify further areas in which we can make a difference.
We are committed to creating a working environment in which employees are valued and rewarded, and one in which flexible working is seen as a benefit to all. The company is fully compliant with BRC standards of quality, safety and operational criteria and meets all legal requirements. We remain committed to regular reviews of our business practice in the UK and abroad, to ensure that these high standards of business are equally valued in the organisations that we deal with abroad. Our farms and growers are regularly visited and monitored for working conditions and good agricultural practice.
